You will receive 1 bulb.
Please note the above photo is of a fully grown plant.
Barclaya is a rather uncommon bulbaceous aquatic plant. Its long red leaves can grow into a large and stunning specimen when planted along with green stem and carpet plants. Under high light and with the addition of CO2 and fertilizers, the leaves can get a deep maroon red colour. Although it can grow in lower light, the leaves tend to be drabber and will turn bronze coloured.
Very rare bulb. Only available once per year.
This is an unusual bulb that does not grow any floating leaves like most bulbs. The leaves grow right from the rhizome.
Reddish green leaves make it very attractive, but avoid placing it near any flow as it won't appreciate it. Similarly, snails tend to make light work of it due to the delicate and rather tasty leaves.
This plant will require occasional rests so if it sheds all its leaves, you know why. But don't worry too much as they will grow back. In terms of growth, this plant can grow quite big from 30-80cm, but it grows at a moderate pace. Note: All bulbs are sent without leaves (so bulb only).
