A lawn forming aquarium plant
Grows to over 10cm high

Does not include the pot

Eleocharis acicularis is very common and thrives in almost all conditions in an aquarium. An open space without shading from other plants is still preferable.Eleocharis Acicularis (also known as Hairgrass) is an easy carpeting plant. Given the right amount of light this plant will carpet within weeks by shooting our runners. It is also suitable for lower tech set-ups, however growth will be slower. When planting, plant in small clumps into your substrate. The blades can reach up to 15cm in length. Once dense/overgrown you can trim down to 2-3cm to encourage new growth. It also looks effective when planted between rocks or amonst other foreground plants such as Hemianthus Callitrichoides or Sagittaria.

The needle rush or hair grass Eleocharis acicularis is found all over the world. It is a particularly lithe, grass-like plant for the foreground. It prefers cooler water, but does grow perfectly well at higher temperatures. Side runners shoot out over time to produce a thick carpet of plants. When bedding in plants cultivated in the emersed state, we recommend pruning hard and dividing any dense plant cushions. Plant the cut rootstock at 5 cm intervals. The first submerged blades will appear after just a few days.

Suitable for ponds, cold water tanks and tropical tanks (up to 25C).

Postage:

Plant will be packed in a plastic bag inside carton box (usually large letter) posted by Royal Mail which will reduce the cost of postage. We spend more time on packing plants which ensures that you receive the plants in a very good condition, not damaged by the pot or not mixed with gel (in-vitro).  Therefore, the plants are sent without the pot.
