Fish are happier and healthier
Promotes and helps maintain their true colours
Great for breeding fish

It's one of the primary foods fed to virtually all freshwater aquatic animals such as fish, frogs, shrimp, snails, salamanders, crabs, crayfish, etc. Feeding bloodworms you will find them much healthier maintaining their true colours. It's a perfect food for conditioning and breeding your aquatic animals.

It is inevitable that there will be some thawing of the product in transit - please place the pack straight back in your freezer immediately on receipt and once frozen again it will be perfectly fine to feed to your fish.

You have selected one of the best tropical fish foods available. You will find that your fish will be healthier and maintain their true colours. It's a perfect food for conditioning and breeding your fish. These worms are laboratory produced, certified free of parasites. These are larvae of non-biting midge (Family Chironomidae) containing haemoglobin.

This creature is one of the primary foods in the aquatic food chain. Almost every species of meat eating fish will consume this worm.

Worms from the genus Glycera are a group of bristle worms that are usually found living on the seabed of marine waters. They can grow up to 14 inches and are a creamy pink colour. They also have a venomous bite.

Bloodworms, the larvae of the non-biting midge fly, are bright red in colour. They have this colour due to the red iron-porphyrin protein in their blood and tissue. They can thrive in polluted water with low oxygen levels because of their haemoglobin content.

They are ideal for large tanks which have many fish.

Whilst live foods are usually more nutritious than frozen foods, they do have a higher risk of carrying infection and disease. For this reason, it’s not recommended to collect your own worms or larvae from the wild.

Live ones are ideal for conditioning fish if you want them to breed; they are commonly used to condition Betta fish. Frozen are easier to keep and will keep for longer.

Feeding them live foods will also bring out the hunting instincts of your fish and you will see more of their natural behaviours
