Commonly known as straight vallis, Vallisneria Spiralis produces much broader leaves (about 1.2cm) than any other forms of Vallis. The leaves will grow to 30-40cm long and will grow straight, despite the name spiralis. The 'spiralis' refers to the coils of the white shoots that will occur once the plants have established.
photo one shows some of our actual vallis to create a wall of vallis that has been created over time in an established aquarium. Photo two shows close up of vallis plant. The plants you receive will be approx 6 to 8 inches in length, with good roots and leaves. They can be planted in your aquarium and grown on to achieve the plants in the photos, assuming correct care, attention , lighting and feeding.
Vallisneria sp. ‘Natans’ from Asia is a hardy plant for beginners. It has fine, narrow leaves (50-100 cm long, 1 cm wide) so it does not overshadow other plants much. Easy to propagate using its many runners.
